Tips

#1 How to get from the airport to the city centre

After landing at the Chopin Airport (Okęcie), take the bus no. 175.

The bus stop Przyloty (Arrivals) 02 is very close to the terminal (see the map or copy the link: https://goo.gl/maps/oAPNphzchsnT2y8L9). The bus 175 runs from 4:50 to 22:50.

It will take you easily to:

You can easily buy a regular ticket (for 4.40 PLN) from a vending machine on a bus.

The journey will take 30-35 minutes.

You can also get to the centre by train (using a standard 75-minute ticket) and get off at Warszawa Śródmieście or Warszawa Powiśle. It runs from 5:40 to 23:44. However, we do recommend the bus 175.

#2 How to get to the hotel

If you take off the bus at the Ordynacka bus stop, you have 300 m (3 minutes walk) to the hotel.

The address of the Hotel Warsaw Chopin (Warszawa Chopin) Motel One is: Tamka 38, 00-355 Warszawa.

#3 How to travel in Warsaw

From the Ordynacka bus stop you can easily get to the Old Town (Stare Miasto). There is also an underground station (Metro): Nowy Świat - Uniwersytet nearby.

For the city centre you can use various kinds of tickets:

You can buy it in kiosks and in vending machines at bus stops. Remember to validate it.

In some buses (e.g. 175) you can find a vending machine where you can be a ticket which is already validated.

#4 Where to exchange money

We do not recommend to exchange money at the airport. The best best money exchange is very close to your hotel and to the conference venue, at Świętokrzyska street (see the map or copy the link: https://goo.gl/maps/89ayZZxvdzyfUhct9).

#5 The use of credit/debit cards

Actually, you do not need to change much money. You can pay almost everywhere with a credit/debit card. Of course, check what is profitable for you: it depends on the policy of your bank with respect to the spread and additional bank payments.
